Health and Safety continues to be an essential part of Kolina. So we’re delighted to announce that Joanna, our administrator, has successfully achieved the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. NEBOSH is a leading, global organisation that provides health, safety and environmental qualifications. Their aim is to inspire the world of work to be a safer, happier place.
This is just a stepping stone for Joanna as she has already started studying NEBOSH’s newly introduced qualification, the National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals. This is an advanced H&S qualification which supports Kolina’s Safety First ethos, embeds our safety culture with the whole team and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to Health and Safety.
We asked Joanna about her health and safety work, she told us ‘I love my job here at Kolina, no two days are the same, there’s always something interesting happening. Being involved with health and safety allows me to make a difference and ensure my colleagues and our clients are protected from harm. It’s great to work within a team where everyone values health and safety and takes on board suggestions or recommendations. We all have an input into our safety strategy and devise solutions that work across the company, it’s important to make sure everyone has a voice’.
