Kolina continues with its commitment to ensure that staff receive relevant, up to date industry training, with successful completion of the Water Hygiene course (Blue Card). This ensures our staff remain compliant and able to work with many utilities and across a variety of industries. Being members of the register is important to everyone at Kolina, it shows our commitment to maintaining clean, safe drinking water and protecting public health. It enables our work to continue work across the water network and within Restricted Operations projects.
One engineer felt the course served as a helpful reminder of the serious consequences which can result from carelessness when working with water. ‘Clean, wholesome water from our taps is something we rightly take for granted, so it’s essential that anyone involved in the supply of water to our homes is aware of the risks, and knows how to work safely to ensure that this remains the case.’ Kolina Process Engineer.
